In 1989, Jim Tuck went to many of his friends, asking if they'd be willing to join an ADA chapter in Guadalajara.
We were established that year as the West Central Mexico Chapter of Americans for Democratic Action, the first outside the U.S.
Today, the group is comprised of members from the Greater Guadalajara metropolitan area and the north shore of Lake Chapala - from Ixtlahuacan through Chapala, Ajijic and Jocotepec to San Luis Soyatlan. Newcomers are always welcome.
After Jim's death in 2004, the chapter voted to take his name in honor of our founder and his untiring work for the organization.
