Product Description

Offering a sunny climate, interesting local culture, ocean-side campsites, and ancient ruins, Mexico is quickly becoming the most accessible, affordable, and exciting winter destination for American and Canadian RVers, and this ultimate tour guide confidently navigates this colorful country’s resources. Essential information, such as preparation for the trip, crossing the border, driving in Mexico, and the location and details of virtually every campsite available, is expertly covered with comprehensive maps that are difficult to obtain within Mexico itself, and demonstrative photographs to assist even the most experienced RV campers in their holiday adventures. Intrepid travelers will benefit from the experience and perspective of the seasoned explorers, who, in their numerous RV excursions throughout Mexico, Guatemala, and Belize, have compiled an exhaustive wealth of information on every aspect of traveling and camping south of the border.

5 out of 5 stars A must for planning any Mexican holiday   March 11, 2010

We found the Traveler's Guide to Mexican Camping a very complete tool in helping us plan our first vacation in Mexico. It is very well structured with preliminary chapters covering a multitude of details like road network, security, food provisioning, do's and don't, border crossing procedures, listing of additional references, etc...
The listing of campsites by regions contains the right amount of information required to buld a short list prior to the final selection of a campsite especially when combined with the area or town description.
The format of the book is handy and the quality and finish of the paper used makes it resistant to wear and tear normally associated with the extensive use of that type of publications.

5 out of 5 stars Just keeps getting better   May 28, 2010

Don't even consider an RV trip to Mexico without this excellent book! We usually spend 5-6 months in Mexico each year (PV area) and have traveled extensively in that country. We have depended upon Churches since its first edition -- and it's never let us down.

5 out of 5 stars Review of 'Mexican Camping' by Mike and Terri Church   June 14, 2010

This book is a must for anyone considering an exploratory trip to Mexico. We just returned from a visit to the West Coast, Sonora and Sinoloa, to check out the beaches. We found this book indispensible for guiding us to some great places. Our GPS didn't work there, and there are very few landmarks, with vast distances between cities. That fact, and the amount of back-road driving, makes it extremely necessary to have precise directions for getting from one location to another. We could not have done it without this book.
