Customer Reviews:
3 out of 5 stars Delivers Fodor's consistent quality   April 29, 2010

What I like about Fodor's guide books is that they are all very consistent, helping readers easily determine the most important sights to see and providing adequate (if brief) descriptions of them. They also provide good hotel and restaurant recommendations, especially on the higher end of the price scale. They are easy to read and have good maps. While readers looking for more details might prefer other guide books, the typical tourist will generally be happy with any of Fodor's guide books including this Mexico 2010 book.

My wife and I used this book together with Lonely Planet's Mexico City for a 4 day weekend in Mexico City during which we also visited the pyramids at Teotihuacan. This book gave me just what I would expect from a Fodor's guide book. It helped me identify the main sights to see and some good restaurants to eat at including a terrific Valentine's Day dinner at the romantic Polanco restaurant La Valentina. (The Lonely Planet book had very good neighborhood walks, so it was good to have both.)

I should add that Mexico City is a great place to visit. It has great sights and great food. It is a shame that more Americans don't visit it. While it has a reputation of being polluted and dangerous, my wife and I both felt very safe and comfortable during our entire trip.
